The Regional Natural Park Old Point Mangrove has characteristics that promote the development of ecotourism activities thanks to the natural resources found there, known for their productive benefits within mangrove ecosystems. The main tourist products of the park include:
Hiking: Visitors engage in a terrestrial or aquatic route within a protected area where they experience relaxation, knowledge, recreation, and enjoyment by connecting with the natural and cultural values present in the visited place. This activity includes the observation of fauna and flora as one of the main reasons for visiting protected areas, allowing visitors to witness animal life in their natural habitat or appreciate the manifestations of the plant world.
Kayaking: An activity performed in a transparent canoe, enclosed with waterproof material that adjusts to the occupant's trunk. Park entry is through the vehicular passage, the park's western side, commonly known as "Mangu Tree". This tour lasts for 2 hours with two stops (one includes snorkeling activities, where various species of fish and marine flora can be seen). This journey takes place in calm and shallow waters, navigating through tunnels formed by red mangroves over seagrass meadows, inverted jellyfish communities, flat oysters, green and brown algae, among other species.
